Guidelines for 'camera ready' paper submission to ALOIS2008

In order to prepare for the printing of the proceedings there a number of guidelines need to be followed. First of all the absolute deadline for your submission is the 1st of April 2008. Your submission should be sent as a Microsoft Word file as an email attachment to Pär Ågerfalk (par.agerfalk@dis.uu.se). The style guidelines are as follows:

• Papers must not exceed 7000 words in length.
• The page should be set to A4 with margins of 2.5 cm all around.
• Do not use headers and footers, and do not put page numbers. Also avoid footnotes and endnotes
• Do not use multiple columns.
• The title of the paper should be in 14pt bold, left aligned.
• The names of the authors (Full first name and last name), address of institution(s) and email address for each author should be in 12pt not bold, left aligned.
• A short abstract should follow of no more than 5 lines in 10 pt.
• Include up to 6 key words
• Use Times Roman font 12 pt for the main text, aligned by the margins.
• There should be no more than three levels of heading and the styles Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3 should be used with the numbering style of

  1.  Heading 1
  1.1 Heading 2
  1.1.1 Heading 3
   

• Figures and tables should be placed as close to their reference point in the text as possible. All figures and tables must have titles and must be referenced from within the text. Avoid colour diagrams as the proceedings will be printed in black and white.
• References in the text should be in the format (Winograd & Flores 1986) and should then be listed in alphabetic order at the end of the paper as the following examples:
